Amazon has launched its new dedicated website for Ireland - Amazon.ie.

The company announced that Irish customers can now shop from a selection of over 200 million products, with prices listed in euros, faster delivery options, and easier returns.

In addition, a special "Brands of Ireland" page will feature products from Irish businesses, both large and small, including Barry's Tea, Bewley's, and Ella & Jo. This initiative is part of a collaboration with Enterprise Ireland aimed at helping customers discover their favorite Irish brands and supporting local businesses in expanding their reach and success.

Previously, most Irish customers shopped on Amazon websites based in the UK or other European countries. With the launch of Amazon.ie, users will be able to avoid additional customs charges and currency conversion fees, while enjoying faster delivery and returns on many items.

In 2022, Amazon opened a new warehouse and distribution center in Dublin, employing 500 people. At that time, the company indicated that the facility would pave the way for the launch of an Ireland-specific website.

From today, customers can also sign up for Prime on Amazon.ie for €6.99 per month to access free delivery, exclusive deals, shopping events like Prime Day, TV shows, movies, live sports, and free games with Prime Gaming.

Irish customers who have a UK Prime membership can easily switch to Amazon.ie, with their UK membership being automatically canceled and refunded.

New users, including those transitioning from UK memberships, can enjoy a 30-day free trial of Amazon.ie Prime.
